Creating a Child User Group in MZone: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Logging into the MZone Parent Group Begin by accessing the MZone parent group using the designated credentials. This login provides you with access to the main account.

Step 2: Creating a Child User Group Navigate to Configuration: After logging in, access the "Configuration" dropdown menu located on the left-hand side of the interface.     

  1. Select Users: From the dropdown menu, click on "Users".
  2. Choose User Groups: Within the Users section, select "User Groups" to initiate the creation of a new user group.

Step 3: Adding a New User Group

  1. Initiate Addition: Click on the "Add User Group" button, usually positioned at the top-right corner.
  2. Enter Details:
    1. Description: Provide a clear description for the new user group.
    2. Currency: Specify the currency settings applicable to this user group.
    3. Fuel Reporting Start Date: Set today's date as the start date for fuel reporting.
    4. Custom theme: Here, you can customize your interface preferences and choose how you want everything to be displayed according to your personal preferences.
    5. Timezone: Select the appropriate timezone for the user group.

Step 4: Configure Modules and Features

  1. Module Selection: Choose the specific features and tools that you want to make available to this user group within MZone.

Step 5: Creating an Administrator Assign Administrator: It’s important to assign an administrator whenever creating a new user group:

  1. First Name, Last Name: Enter the administrator’s details.
  2. Language: Select the preferred language for the administrator.
  3. Email: Input the administrator’s email address.
  4. Username: Enter the administrator’s username.
  5. Password: Enter a password.
  6. Confirm Password: Confirm the password.

Step 6: Rules (Rules Engine Configuration)

  1. The rules used for MRM can be either kept as the default settings or customized. These rules allow you to set thresholds for different categories, such as early arrival. For example, if you set an early arrival threshold of 30 minutes, any arrival 28 minutes before the scheduled time will be categorized as "early".

Step 7: Settings

  1. You can choose to keep the notifications or alerts as pop-ups that appear at the bottom of the screen, or you can make them non-intrusive. To disable them (make them non-intrusive), simply toggle on the icon.
  2. Location Description Format: This allows you to customize how the address appears in MZone.
  3. Rules Engine: This section can be left blank and configured at a later stage.
    1. The first three options are used to set up how you want the MRM solution to work.
    2.  If the customer wants Google Maps in MZone, they can provide an API key. You can then set it up under "Map View - Google API Key.

   Step 8: Security

  1. Session Time Out: Activating this feature will automatically log you out of MZone if it remains idle for an extended period.
  2. Regular Password Change: Enable this option to enforce periodic password changes for users, such as every 30 days.
  3. New User Password Change: Enable this to prompt users with default passwords to change them upon their first login.
  4. Disable Users for Inactivity: Enabling this will automatically deactivate users who have been inactive on MZone for the specified interval period.

Step 9: Integrations 

  1. The first two parts of this section are for CIPIA, and the other two are for configuring Fleet Drive.
  2. If you wish to modify the terms and conditions displayed on the mobile app, click on the circle icon next to the T&C section. This will allow you to enter a URL.

After completing all of the above steps, you can click 'Save' to finalize the creation of the User Group.
