Master-detail report in D-Insight Fleet

 Master-detail report  in D-Insight Fleet is a report that can help  you summary information similarity  to what you can do with a Creating Single level report in D-Insight Fleet,however, with the Master detail report you can show summary row and details row - like trip and events or vehicle and then trips ,this will be the best report suited for your needs.

Example if you select 'Vehicle' as your master colunm ( the colunm that would be added up in the report)

In the report type selection, you will need to select your preferred report type, which is 'Master-detail report.' Then select the 'Row' that is of interest to you.

For example, we will focus our attention on a report type that details vehicles and the trip by drivers .(I) Select 'Vehicle' (II) Select 'Trip' Once the two columns are selected, click 'Next' to move to the next step of customizing your report.

Now you can continue with the next step. In the Report Type Timeline 'Columns' tab, select the column you want to summarize('Master columns'), and then select the 'Detail columns' you want to populate with information. If this were a single-level report, even if you wanted to include the trip count, it would only show you the count for each completed trip as demonstrated in the below ''Trip'' column :


InfoParameters are the fields required when generating a report. If 'Driver' is selected and marked as required, it will become compulsory.The 'Columns' filter can be used based on your requirements. For example, when generating the report, you might want to filter out trips with a distance of less than 0.02 km. You can also set this value as mandatory when generating the report.Files is the section where you select the format in which you want to generate your report.Summary completes the report. Title and Description provide a summary. Report Preview is on the left. Report Category groups specific reports together if needed.
